Key documents for this wiki:

Korean DART filings

DART portal: https://dart.fss.or.kr/ (Korean Financial Supervisory Service)

Korean-listed memory makers file detailed semi-annual (반기보고서) and annual (사업보고서) reports here. These often disclose more than US-equivalent ADR filings — particularly customer concentration. Filings are in Korean; basic translation is workable but technical terms require care.

  • Samsung Electronics (005930.KS): Semiconductor (DS) division segment reporting; HBM-specific commentary in MD&A.
  • SK Hynix (000660.KS): Single-customer concentration disclosed in the 반기보고서 (e.g., 27% from one customer in H1 2025). Capex broken out by category.

DOJ Antitrust Division

Court records — bankruptcies and antitrust

  • Qimonda AG insolvency: Amtsgericht München (Munich district court). Filing date January 23, 2009.
  • Elpida Memory: Tokyo District Court, Corporate Reorganization Act filing, February 27, 2012.
  • DRAM Antitrust Litigation MDL 1486: N.D. Cal. (Northern District of California). Direct-purchaser and indirect-purchaser settlements. Docket available on PACER.

Korean and Japanese trade press

How to refresh

Most-load-bearing files to re-check each quarter:

  1. Micron 10-Q + earnings prepared remarks — for the customer-prepayment line, consideration-payable line, capex guidance, and Mehrotra's framing language.
  2. Nvidia 10-Q — for the purchase-obligation aggregate, prepayments, and inventory-writedown trajectory.
  3. AMD 10-K / 10-Q — for unconditional purchase commitments growth.
  4. SK Hynix DART filings — semi-annual (반기보고서) for customer concentration.
  5. TrendForce pricing weekly — DRAM contract ASP for the price-effect narrative.

Cycle-event refresh (when relevant):

  • SAMR (China) antitrust announcements — analog to the May 2018 probe.
  • DOJ Antitrust Division press releases — analog to the cartel cycle.
  • OpenAI / Stargate announcement page — for any LOI-to-binding-offtake conversion.
